Tuesday, June 2 – Just had to give the Parry Lodge a little more airtime. This classic ‘50s motel plays up its connection to Hollywood movies filmed in the area, and it’s like taking a step back in time when you walk in the door. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I had to take a photo of the lobby with all of the black and white headshots in order to truly communicate the flavor of things. The old Hollywood names over the motel room doors really add to it. This actually turned out to be a great place to stay as a weigh-station in between the Grand Canyon and Zion.
